WordPress Theme

This was a project where I created a WordPress theme to be released for free to the community. The challenge was to create a unique WordPress theme with close attention paid to not only the design, but the usability as well. It also had to be easy to use and customize for the user.

A unique design is created

I created many different designs before I settled on this one that had a balance of design and usability. A lot of work was also done on the development side in creating a custom admin panel to ensure that it would be easy to customize and use for the user.

A redesign

Blog design blog is a well established blog in the blog design community. The challenge was to redesign the blog to increase page views, improve traffic flow, and make it more usable while retaining its branding and search engine optimized code.

The solution and results

More of the already good stuff

While already number 1 for its keywords, the code was further improved by optimizing it to load even faster than before. Load times were cut to 1/3 of what it used to be. The redesign kept a lot of the same design elements and color scheme, while changing a lot of the details to make the site much more clean, smooth, and usable without hurting its established branding.

A blog design to increase awareness

Northeastern University's Library came to me seeking to create a blog design that was bold, casual, clean, and professional in order to increase the awareness of the library's resources. The library found that expensive resources were not utilized as much as they could be simply due to lack of awareness that they existed. The challenge was to correct this problem.

A unique design is created

In order to reach a greater audience, the design uses colors that are not often seen in most library's designs. This kept the design fresh and bold, which allowed it to communicate with a wider audience.

Increase amount of leads

Fastteks Boston is a PC repair company that wanted to increase the amount of potential leads they were getting from the internet. The challenge was to create a unique design that represented their company well while making it easy for potential leads to learn about them and eventually call.

The solution and results

Simple, but powerful

In order to increase leads, the design of the site was kept simple, but unique and well done so that it did not look like every other PC repair company out there. The design also highlighted the company's phone number and image in a very bold manner.
